Just engage the Sandbox and jump to the end of current track. Try mixing the songs until you find perfect exit-point and entry-point hearing only in your headphones. After your finishe disengage the sandbox and wait for your current track to reach your desired point where you should start your mix.
Sampler
Sampler offers you to play unlimited number of samples simultaneously. Samples can be audio, video or even still images. The sampler is accessed through sideview where you can select any bank and drag-n-drop samples directly in the slots. You can organise these samples and trigger like an instrument bank.
The sampled files are found in sample folder in browser from where you can directly play as many samples as you want simultaneously. The sampler also has a special bank called “remix mode”. This bank transfer your sampler into smart cue-pads. You can edit your own remix points else VirtualDj 8 automatically detect and fills the remix points with the breaks in your songs.
Whenever you record a new sample. VirtualDj 8 will store in “Recordings” folder and highlight it. so, you can choose whether you want to drop it on a deck and start scratching it or drop it on sampler pad.
Sound Engine
VirtualDj 8 offers all the internal audio components like pitch stretching, limiter, equalizer. filters etc to give you a crystal clear sound. Though sound engine process everything in high quality 32-bit audio, it can be adjusted in the options. If you play mostly audio files that have been recorded at 44100, you should use 44100. Same thing applies if you play audio which has been recorded in 48000, use 48000.

Side view
The browser has three zones, the folders, the file view and the side view. Special lists and useful folders are displayed in the side list. There are some special lists such as automix, the karaoke and the sampler trigger pad. You can also create shortcut buttons for various folders so that you can easy navigate with one click.

Controllers
Controllers can have multiple mapper. By default all the controllers have “factory mapper” when you try to edit factory mapper the VirtualDj 8 will create a custom mapper. Fill this controller with a copy of factory mapper and edit it as you want to.
Custom buttons
There is a custom knob and custom buttons on each deck of the default skin. You can fill these according to what you find missing in the default skin.

You will not need to make any resolution of the same skin as it can be stretched automatically keeping the aspect ratio.
color waveforms
Now it is easy to differentiate b/w two decks as VirtualDj 8 has two modes of color waveforms. Each mode has a color like red for bass, green for medium and blue for high.
Broadcast
Direct broadcast feature of VirtualDj enables you to directly broadcast through its website. For this you require to login into VirtualDj’s website then it will automatically generate a webpage on virtualdj.com where your friends can listen to your broadcast. The software also offers you to create and maintain podcasts with tools on website to help you publish your broadcast to iTunes.
